Many chain restaurants prepare for Thanksgiving with special holiday menus or heat-and-serve holidays. Many local restaurants in the Inland Empire are taking the day off. But some, especially in tourist destinations, will serve turkey on Nov. 23 or sell takeout turkey or desserts in the days leading up to it.

Here are some of the Riverside County restaurants that have announced plans for Thanksgiving.

Hemet

Boy Burgers: The restaurant is taking orders for whole pies and cheesecake with a 48-hour advance notice, according to a Facebook video. It is recommended to call ahead to see what is available. 167 N. Karmalita St. 951-929-2142

Mission Inn Hotel & Spa: Mission Inn Restaurant will serve brunch and turkey dinner. Duane’s, the steakhouse, will also serve a traditional turkey dinner for $125. The resort’s Festival of Lights begins on Saturday, November 18 this year. 3649 Mission Inn Ave. missioninn.com
