Maroon: The fresh food drive-thru bank will be open at the Auburn Borough Building, 451 Pearson St., from 10 a.m. to noon on Wednesday, Nov. 15. Volunteers will help load your car with meat, fruit, vegetables, juice and other goodies. Donations vary monthly. The food bank is open every third Wednesday of the month.
Watercress: The Cressona Food Pantry will be open Friday, Nov. 24, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Faith Assembly of God Church, 18 S. Second St. Open the fourth Friday of every month.
New Ringgold: The New Ringgold Area Food Pantry, located at Christ Church of McKeansburg, 5 S. Race St., will be open from 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 13. The pantry serves New Ringgold, McKeansburg, Port Clinton, Drehersville, Snyders, Andreas, East Brunswick Township and parts of West Penn Township. Orwigsburg: The Orwigsburg Food Pantry will hold its monthly food drive on Saturday, November 18th from 9-11am. The pantry is located in the United Church of Christ of St. John, 232 E. Market St., and is open every third Saturday of the month.
Orwigsburg: Helping Harvest will hold a monthly mobile market from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 25, and the fourth Saturday of each month thereafter in the Blum Auction House parking lot, 1506 Center Turnpike #6 (Route 61).
Pine Grove: The Pine Grove Area Council of Churches Food Pantry will be open from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday, November 18 for families from the Pine Grove area and Pine Grove and Washington Townships. The pantry, which is open every third Saturday of each month, is in the lower level of the church’s weekday building at 200 School St. For more information or emergency food, call 570-345-3033 between 9 a.m. and 9 p.m. If no answer, callers may leave a message.
Pine Grove Area Trail: The Food and Essentials Pantry serves families in the Pine Grove Area School District. Located at 42 S. Tulpehocken St., Pine Grove, with entrance through the small blue door on the ground floor. No parking in the Legion parking lot. Shopping hours are the first and third Thursdays of each month from 5 to 7 p.m. The next shopping day is Thursday, November 16. Customers must show proof of residency to shop there. A $10 cash donation is requested.
Schuylkill Haven: The Schuylkill Haven Food Pantry will be open on Friday, November 17, from noon to 3:00 p.m. The pantry is behind the Walk In Art Center on Market Street between Parkway and St. Charles Street and serves residents of Auburn, Cressona, Deer Lake, Landingville, Orwigsburg and Schuylkill Haven areas and the cities of North Manheim, South Manheim, Wayne and West Brunswick. The pantry distributes food on the third Friday of each month.
Tremont: The Tremont Area Food Pantry is giving away from 9 to 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 18. Located in the Tremont Municipal Building, 139 Clay St., Suite 6. Entrance to the pantry is through the handicap accessible doors on the side of the building facing the tennis/basketball courts. The pantry serves the borough and township of Tremont and the townships of Frailey and Riley. It is open every third Saturday of the month.
A day-long baked goods giveaway is offered the second Tuesday of the month at the Tremont Municipal Building, 139 Clay St. The next giveaway is Tuesday, November 14th from 11am-noon. Open to all.
Tower City: The Williams Valley Food Pantry, through Schuylkill Community Action, will be held from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 18, at 800 E. Grand Ave., Tower City. The Pantry serves the Williams Valley School District. For referrals or other information, call SCA at 570-622-1995 from 8 am to 4 pm Monday through Friday. The pantry is open every third Saturday of the month.
