Northern Light Health and Optum enter strategic relationship to improve healthcare experience

BREWER, Maine & EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn.–(COMMERCIAL THREAD)–Northern Light Health and Optum today announced a strategic relationship to improve the healthcare experience for patients and providers across Maine. As part of this relationship, select Northern Light Health employees will join Optum, providing them with new opportunities for growth and career advancement as they continue to support Northern Light Health.

Northern Light Health and Optum will work together to improve business processes through investments in cutting-edge technology and innovation. This will give Northern Light Health access to new tools and more resources that will ultimately improve the patient experience and allow providers to focus on patient care.

Optum will handle revenue cycle management, information systems, hospital care management, analytics, project management office and supply chain for Northern Light Health.

Approximately 1,400 Northern Light Health employees will become Optum employees effective March 2023.
