Call all food trucks fanatics! If you want to enjoy delicious roadside food, then this is for you. The pike in Bridgehampton serves classic comfort food while providing a simple but different culinary experience.
Don’t let the fact that your meal is prepared in a truck fool you—the chefs at The Pike have over 30 years of experience. The kitchen uses fresh and local products in its dishes and guarantees first-class quality and taste.
Some of the items on the Pike’s menu include their sweet and spicy fall-off-the-bone baby back ribs and their specialty, a fried chicken dish served with fries and coleslaw. The fried chicken is coated in a mixture of spices and then cooked to perfection. For dessert? Try their banana pudding or bread pudding.
The truck is located on the south side of Montauk Highway in Sagaponack, past The Loaves & Fishes Foodstore. Its opening hours are noon to 6 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays and 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sundays.
Not only that, but also Green gold kitchen in Water Mill, right next to the Milk Pail, is another must-try. The food truck offers Latin-inspired cuisine made with fresh, local produce and products produced by Chef Jose Guzman, who has worked in restaurants and gourmet markets in the Hamptons for over a decade.
Popular menu items include their guacamole and chips, also served with pico de gallo and sour cream, their classic grilled cheese on brioche bread with a side of fries, and their burrito bowl salad, with a choice of meat or vegetarian, along with romaine salad, beans, queso fresco cheese, sliced avocado, pico de gallo, sour cream, green tomatillo sauce, cilantro and onion.
Trust us, it comes from more. Green Gold Kitchen is open Wednesday to Monday 9:30am to 5:00pm and Sunday 10:00am to 5:00pm. The kitchen offers delivery in selected areas. While you’re there, why not stop by and grab a bag of Apple Cider Donuts from Milk Pail? This is the season.
Enter if you dare. With Halloween just around the corner, there are tons of upcoming events to celebrate the holiday and fall season. Backyard Restaurant at Solé East in Montauk is hosting a Halloween party on Oct. 28 at 8 p.m. Admission is free and will include free bar food, drink specials and a live DJ. On top of that, don’t forget to come in your costume! Participants who show up in costume are entered into a giveaway for a weekend hotel stay.
The BonTauk and Hamptons Hour Bonfire the event begins Friday, October 20 at 5:00 PM and ends at 8:00 PM. Located on Two Mile Hollow Beach in East Hampton, the bonfire is in celebration of the fall season.
